Portsmouth & Southsea

Do I have to get into football now?

Portsmouth and Southsea (not sure what the difference is, I think Southsea is more down by the ocean).

Portsmouth is beautiful! Woke up today, put on a sweather and went to Subway for breakfast. After a few minutes I realized I should have worn a dress or something lighter because it’s 20 degrees and boiling hot here… Thank God for the wind!

Gosport.

We walked for a while through parks and shopping areas until we got to the Spinnaker Tower; Britain’s tallest viewing tower (apparently). We went all the way up to the top, 100 meters above the ground, and looked at the beautiful view. Got a bit more orientated from up there as well and learned where we were, where the uni is, Gosport, Isle of Wight, Fareham and everything else.

Shopping Outlet area by the harbour.

Gosport.

After that we had an ice cream and went for a walk on the harbour ’till we found the beach. It’s so pretty with the ocean and boats and stuff! I grew up by the ocean, so I can’t imagine living somewhere far from it. Like up in the mountain areas or in the middle of the country. I’d feel stuck there. Even if I don’t go out by boat that often I still enjoy being close to the ocean, where the sunsets are pretty and the air is fresh and salty.

This church was bombed during the war and they decided to leave the roof off as a memory (or something).

We saw a lot of restaurants and shops on the way, but it didn’t really look like a good area to shop in. So tomorrow we’re going to check out the shopping centers and some other streets.

The Spinnaker Tower!

But yeah, it’s very pretty here and I think I’m gonna like it super duper much.
