Birthday party and a stoll by the harbour

Days are going by so quickly here. All the British students have joined us international students in the halls and it’s really filling up here. I still have two flat mates I have no idea who are, so I’m excited to see who it is. And today freshers week will start off with a move-in party! It’s going to be sooooo crowded and sooooo much fun!

I love these mini boats!

On Friday I met up with Emily (Hong Kong) and we went out for Japanese food. We’d already been chatting on Facebook a bit, and we found out we have a lot in common. After that we went to Frederike’s (Germany) birthday party. It was a lot of fun! I think everybody except one of the guests were international students. I think it’s fun to get to know people from all over the world, so I found it awesome. Even if it was like 90% German people there.

Yesterday I met up with Emily and Ute (Germany) and we went for a walk around the harbour area. We had some fish and chips and ice cream and just enjoyed the sunshine. I love how I can still wear a t-shirt because the weather is so good. Back home it’s rainy and windy. Emily and I also went to watch Brave at the cinema. The cinema here is so pretty, but it has a majoy lack of candy selection. I loved the movie, though. It was great, you should all watch it.

This is awesome!

When I got home the kitchen in my flat had been taken over by my flat mate and his friends from Hong Kong. They were making chicken curry and they were kind enough to let me have some! It was really good! I told them I’d make Norwegian food next time. I have no idea what to make, though. Any tips?

A bit of a messy update from me today, sorry about that. Hope you all had a good weekend. Today I’m going to go collect my tickets for Freshers Week and then do nothing until the party tonight. Need to charge my batteries!
